PDP activist killed by militants

Srinagar Aug 19 (IANS) An activist of Jammu and Kashmir s ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) was shot dead by militants in the state s Anantnag district on Saturday police said.
Militants barged into the house of Muhammad Ishaq Parray in Dialgam area of Anantnag and fired at him from close range a police officer said.
A critically injured Parray was taken to Anantnag hospital where doctors declared him dead the officer added.
