Ex-panchayat member s body found in J&K

Srinagar Aug 21 (IANS) The dead body of a former panchayat member was found in Jammu and Kashmir s Anantnag district police said.
Shabir Ahmad Wani s body was found some distance from his home in the Shangus area. He was affiliated to the ruling PDP.
A police officer said there was a visible wound on the head made with a sharp weapon. However he said it was premature to say whether militants were responsible for the crime.
