Army porters slips to death

Srinagar Aug 23 (IANS) An Army porter on Wednesday fell to death from a mountainous road in Jammu and Kashmir s Bandipora district.
Police said the porter Ghulam Muhammad Kasana of Quilmuqam village slipped from the Bandipora-Gurez road into a deep gorge. "He died instantaneously " said a police officer.
The Army employs locals to carry loads to the mountainous pickets on the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir.
