Chaos expected today after Ram Rahim rape case verdict

Three years after the self-styled 'godman' Rampal was arrested from his ashram, where thousands of his supporters clashed with police in a 2 week standoff, the similar situation is being witnessed once again when 2 lacs supporters of of Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh gathered last night in Panchkula ahead of a verdict in a rape trial against him. The verdict is expected today at 2.30 pm
This time the Haryana government is better prepared with educational institutes and government offices are closed, train and bus services suspended on routes that include Panchkula and the army is kept on standby. Paramilitary forces and police are patrolling the sensitive areas. Mobile and internet services have been frozen in Haryana. Still, it’s anyone’s guess what would happen if the court verdict pronounces the verdict against him.
 It has taken fifteen years where a CBI court will deliver verdict in a rape case against him. This case has extensively excited the public interest because Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh has crores of followers all around the world. He was also in limelight as he directed , produced and acted in series of film called MSG- The Messenger, MSG- The warrior lion heart and MSG-2.
