Cabinet clears India-Armenia MoU on disaster management
New Delhi Sep 12 (IANS) The Union Cabinet chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday approved the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between India and Armenia on cooperation in disaster management.
"The MoU will enhance cooperation in disaster management through exchange of information in fields of mutual interest " an official statement said.
The MoU seeks to put in place a system wherein both India and Armenia would benefit from disaster management mechanisms in the other country and help strengthen preparedness response and capacity-building in disaster management.
