Pakistan Rangers shell Indian posts in Jammu

Jammu Sep 16 (IANS) Pakistan Rangers resorted to heavy mortar shelling on Saturday evening across the international border in Jammu and Kashmir s Jammu district and Indian forces retaliated triggering heavy exchange of fire in the area police said.
Police sources said here Pakistan Rangers started heavy shelling in Arnia sub-sector of R.S.Pura at 9.30 p.m. using 81 mm mortars and Indian positions were "effectively retaliating".
"Heavy firing exchanges are going on in the area " a source said.
