Three Maoists killed in Jharkhand

Ranchi Sep 24 (IANS) Three Maoist guerrillas were killed in a gun battle with security forces in Jharkhand s Simdega district on Sunday police said.
An AK-47 assault rifle a carbine and a machine gun along with a huge cache of explosives were seized after the fighting at Bano between the People s Liberation Front of India cadres and security personnel.
A search operation was launched to nab the Maoists who escaped police siad.
Maoist guerrillas are active in 18 of the 24 districts of the state.
