Women voters outnumber men in Chennai

The Chennai Corporation on Tuesday released draft electoral rolls which showed that the city has 40 73 703 voters -- 20 13 168 men 20 59 557 women and 978 transgenders.
Chennai has 16 Assembly segments. Velacherry has the highest electorate of 3 07 616 and Harbour constituency the least (1 89 102).
