CRPF officer injured in J&K militant attack

Srinagar Oct 7 (IANS) A Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) officer was injured in a militant attack in Jammu and Kashmir s Anantnag district on Saturday evening police said.
Police said militants fired at a CRPF party in Mir Bazar area of Anantnag town injuring the Assistant Sub-Inspector of the paramilitary force.
"The injured trooper has been shifted to hospital for treatment. The area has been cordoned and an operation has been launched to trace the militants " police said.
