BJP s allegations against Vadra to divert attention from Jay Shah: Congress

New Delhi Oct 17 (IANS) The Congress on Tuesday said the BJP s allegations against Robert Vadra were a "politically motivated" effort by the ruling party to divert public attention from the serious allegations against its party President Amit Shah s son Jay Shah.

"This is a politically motivated effort by the BJP to divert attention from the serious allegation against Amit Shah s son Jay Shah whose income grew by 16 000 times in one year and BJP is trying to divert public attention " Congress spokesperson Sanjay Jha told IANS.

"They are trying to throttle media freedom. They are actually scared and that s why they are not allowing any investigation to happen " he added.

Jha said: "The Congress party will be taking this issue up and take it to the streets of the country. We are already doing a nationwide campaign to expose the corruption of Amit Shah s son."

The response came after the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) asked the Congress to explain the alleged links between party President Sonia Gandhi s son-in-law Robert Vadra and arms dealer Sanjay Bhandari.
