Modi extends greetings on 72nd UN day
New Delhi Oct 24 (IANS) Appreciating the UN s effort in promoting world peace Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday extended his greetings on the 72nd UN Day.
"Greetings on UN Day. We appreciate UN s efforts in promoting world peace and laud the wide range of initiatives under its guidance " Modi tweeted.
He also said that "India is proud of the steadfast support and active participation in several UN initiatives aimed at making our world a better place".
UN Day marks the anniversary of the entry into force of the UN charter in 1945. October 24 has been celebrated as UN Day since 1948.
