India, Kazakhstan begin joint army exercise (With Images)
Shimla Nov 2 (IANS) India and Kazakh troops started a joint exercise in Himachal Pradesh s Bakloh on Thursday an official statement said.
The exercise Prabal Dostyk which means Robust Friendship in Hindi and Kazakh and go on till November 15 is "aimed at enhancing the military ties between the two countries as also at achieving interoperability between the two armies" the statement said.
The training contingents comprise of a platoon strength formation from Indian Army s 11th Gorkha Rifles and a similar strength from the Kazakh Army.
