Draw for AFC Women s Asian Cup 2018 in Jordan

Amman (Jordan) Dec 9 (IANS) Hosts Jordan were drawn into Group A with China Thailand and the Philippines in the AFC Women s Cup 2018 which will take place here from April 7 to 22.
Japan landed in Group B with Australia South Korea and Vietnam according to the draw which was held in a ceremony at the Dead Sea reports Xinhua news agency.
The winners and runners-up of each group will advance to the semi-finals of the competition and qualify for the FIFA Women s World Cup 2019 in France.
The third-placed teams in each group will face each other in a play-off for the fifth and final Asian berth at France 2019.
