Marseille registers fourth successive Ligue 1 win

Paris Jan 20 (IANS) French football club Marseille regained the second position on the Ligue 1 table after getting past Caen 2-0 to record their fourth straight league win.
Marseille winger Dimitri Payet broke the deadlock in the 55th minute with a spot kick followed by Florian Thauvin s brilliant strike on 74 minutes his 10th goal of the campaign reports Xinhua news agency.
Marseille provisionally moved past Lyon who will host leaders Paris Saint-Germain on Sunday to sit second nine points adrift of PSG.
Defending champions Monaco will face bottom sides Metz at home on Sunday.
