Golfers Nilesh, Sunil qualify for Mercedes Trophy National Finals

Kolkata Jan 31 (IANS) City golfers Nilesh Jatia (handicap category 0-18) and Sunil Surana (handicap category 19-24) qualified for the National Finals of Mercedes Trophy on Day 1 of the Kolkata leg qualifier played here on Wednesday.
Nilesh and Sunil clinched the qualification spots by carding a nett score of 71 and 73.8 respectively at the Royal Calcutta Golf Club.
The meet has so far seen 22 qualifiers who will be competing in the National Finals to be played at the Oxford Golf Resort in Pune from April 4-6.
A total of 108 city golfers participated on Day 1 of the Kolkata leg qualifier and another 108 golfers will tee off Thursday to compete for the two remaining qualification spots.
