Man Utd midfielder Fellaini out for few weeks

Manchester Feb 2 (IANS) Manchester United head coach Jose Mourinho on Friday confirmed midfielder Marouane Fellaini will be out from football action for a few weeks with knee injury.

The Belgian picked up the injury in his previous match against Tottenham in the English Premier League (EPL) tie and had to be substituted within eight minutes of his inception in the game.

"I don t have good news. I don t want to give you news on an initial approach but I don t think the news is very good " Mourinho said.

"He has a problem in his knee it was an internal injury and now it s external. He s definitely out of the game on Saturday. We will probably miss him for a few weeks " the Portuguese tactician added.

Mourinho said EPL leaders Manchester City are presently doing well to clinch the league and their side will try hard to finish on the second spot.

"Manchester City are doing so well. Not letting the others come close. With the number of points we have in normal conditions that would leave the fight open. It is open for second third fourth but practically closed for the first " Mourinho said.

"We need points to be the first of the last. We are trying to finish second."
