Boca Juniors to meet FC Barcelona in August friendly

Buenos Aires Feb 13 (IANS) Boca Juniors will meet FC Barcelona in a friendly at the Camp Nou stadium in Barcelona in August the Argentine football club s president has said.
The teams will vie for the Joan Gamper trophy a traditional match played in the Catalan capital before the Spanish domestic season reports Xinhua news agency.
"We will travel to face Barcelona in August " Boca president Daniel Angelici told Radio Cooperativa on Monday.
The Buenos Aires giants have participated in the annual fixture once before losing 1-2 to then Pep Guardiola-coached Barcelona in 2008.
Last year the fixture pitted Barcelona against Chapecoense the Brazilian side that lost most of their players and coaching staff in a 2016 plane crash.
