Juanfran called up for Atletico Madrid vs Sporting Lisbon

Madrid April 4 (IANS) Atletico Madrid coach Diego Simeone on Wednesday called up 18 players including right-back Juanfran Torres who has only recently recovered from a hamstring injury for the upcoming UEFA Europa League match between Atletico Madrid and Sporting Lisbon.

Juanfran 33 tore his left hamstring last month during Sporting s 5-1 Europa League round of 16 victory over Lokomotiv Moscow reports Efe.

"(Juanfran) will be available for selection for this Thursday s match against Sporting CP in Wanda Metropolitano " the La Liga club said in a statement.

France forward Antoine Griezmann and Spain left winger Vitolo were also among coach Diego Simeone s list.

Atletico Madrid is to take on Sporting Lisbon in the first leg of the Europa League quarterfinals in Madrid on Thursday.
