Toluca beat Tigres 1-0, extends lead at top of league
Mexico April 9 (IANS) Angel Reyna s solitary goal helped Toluca beat reigning Mexican football champions Tigres and increase their lead at the top of the table in the Clausura tournament of the Liga MX.
Reyna s right-footed shot from outside the box found the net to seal Sunday s game for Toluca who now have 30 points from nine wins three draws and two defeats reports Efe.
Toulca are now one point ahead of the second-placed Santos Laguna with three matches left to play in the season.
Tigres who were held to a 1-1 draw by Necaxa on Saturday are tied at the third spot with Club America with 25 points.
