Ramos left out of Real Madrid roster against Celta

Madrid May 12 (IANS) Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos was left out of the roster issued on Saturday for the La Liga match against Celta Vigo as was injured right back Dani Carvajal and star forward Cristiano Ronaldo.

Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane opted to give the defender a rest in Saturday s league game with an eye on the UEFA Champions League final against Liverpool scheduled for May 26 reports Efe news agency.

Zidane also excluded midfielders Dani Ceballos and Marcos Llorente from the list.

The squad:

Goalkeepers: Keylor Navas Kiko Casilla and Luca Zidane.

Defenders: Jesus Vallejo Raphael Varane Nacho Fernandez Marcelo Theo Hernandez and Achraf Hakimi.

Midfielders: Toni Kroos Luka Modric Casemiro Marco Asensio Isco Alarcon and Mateo Kovacic.

Forwards: Karim Benzema Gareth Bale Lucas Vazquez and Borja Mayoral.
