Bolivar fail to advance to Libertadores quarters
La Paz May 25 (IANS) Club Bolivar were eliminated from the Copa Libertadores group B despite defeating Ecuador s Delfin S.C. 2-1.
Bolivar will have the consolation of qualifying for the Copa Sudamericana after placing third in the group behind Atletico Nacional and Colo-Colo reports Efe.
The Bolivians were eliminated due to their inferior goal difference after matching Colo-Colo s tally of eight points.
Juan Miguel Callejon scored two goals for Bolivar while Delfin s solitary effort came courtesy of Ronald Raldes own goal.
