Ronaldo becomes Europe s all-time leading scorer
Moscow June 20 (IANS) Cristiano Ronaldo became Europe s highest ever scorer in international football when he struck an early goal in Portugal s Group B match against Morocco here on Wednesday.
Ronaldo s diving fourth-minute header at Luzhniki Stadium was his 85th goal for his country breaking the record held by Hungary great Ferenc Puskas Xinhua news agency reported.
The 33-year-old Real Madrid star equalled the record with a hat-trick against Spain last Friday.
Puskas scored 84 international goals for Hungary between 1945 and 1956.
