Nadal reclaims top spot in ATP rankings, Federer slips

Madrid June 25 (IANS) Spain s Rafael Nadal returned to the top spot in the men s Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) world singles rankings released on Monday while Switzerland s Roger Federer came in second.
Federer lost his world number one ranking after Borna Coric of Croatia ended the Swiss 20-match unbeaten streak on grass by claiming a 7-6 (8-6) 3-6 6-2 victory at the Halle Open on Sunday reports Efe.
After he won the Queen s Club title over Serbia s Novak Djokovic Croatia s Marin Cilic climbed to the fifth spot ahead of Bulgaria s Grigor Dimitrov and Austria s Dominic Thiem respectively.
Further down the rankings Djokovic jumped five places to the 17th despite his Sunday s 5-7 7-6 (7-4) 6-3 loss to Cilic.
The current ATP rankings and point scores are as follows:
