Salah hints at continuing with Egypt
Cairo July 2 (IANS) Egypt and Liverpool star Mohamed Salah will continue playing for his country the striker indicated in a message on Monday.
"Some may think it s over but it isn t over " Salah wrote on his Twitter handle. "There needs to be change."
Egypt were knocked out of the ongoing World Cup in the group stages and Salah managed to score a goal from the spot.
It was a forgettable showing otherwise for the African side.
Before the tournament Salah was involved in a tiff over image rights with the Egyptian Football Association. Since Egypt s elimination he was reportedly unhappy with criticism received after he was pictured with controversial Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov according to a ESPNFC report.
Meanwhile Salah signed a long-term contract extension with Liverpool the Premier League club announced.
