Spanish midfielder Fabian Ruiz joins Napoli
Rome July 5 (IANS) Italian football club Società Sportiva Calcio (SSC) Napoli on Thursday announced it had reached an agreement to sign Spanish midfielder Fabian Ruiz from Real Betis on a five-season contract.
The Serie A club paid a 30-million-euro ($35.14 million) buy-out clause Real Betis announced on its website reports Efe.
Ruiz 22 who underwent medical tests on Tuesday became Napoli s second signing of the transfer window following Italy s Simone Verdi who joined the Italian club for 25 million euros.
Ruiz was one of the outstanding Betis players during the 2017-18 La Liga season that saw him score three goals in 35 appearances.
Ruiz also made five appearances with Spain s national under-21 football team.
