Bautista enters Swiss Open semis
Gstaad (Switzerland) July 28 (IANS) Second-seed Roberto Bautista Agut of Spain defeated Japan s Taro Daniel 7-5 6-1 here to reach the semi-finals of the Swiss Open tennis tournament.
Bautista the world No. 17 needed an hour and 28 minutes on Friday to prevail over 88th-ranked Daniel in the first-ever match between the two players reports EFE news agency.
Next up for Bautista will be Laslo Djere of Serbia who got past Croatia s Kitor Galovic 6-7 (5-7) 6-3 7-6 (7-5).
The other semi-final will pit Estonia s Jurgen Zopp against Matteo Berrettini of Italy.
