Ibrahimovic nets quickfire hat-trick to help LA Galaxy win
Los Angeles July 30 (IANS) Star Swedish striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic scored a quickfire hat-trick his first in Major League Soccer (MLS) as LA Galaxy rallied to beat Orlando City 4-3 here.
Ibrahimovic on Sunday netted his goals inside 24 minutes in the second half according to a BBC report.
With the treble Ibrahimovic now has 15 goals in 17 appearances for LA Galaxy. The 36-year-old also provided the assist for Giovani dos Santos to score Galaxy s first goal.
Cristian Higuita had given Orlando the lead. The visitors other goals came from a Michael Ciani own goal and Dom Dwyer .
"It was a good day. For the team. For me. I scored three goals had one assist. We won the game. If we wouldn t have won the game it doesn t matter how many goals or assists you do to win is something different " Ibrahimovic was quoted as saying by the club s official website.
"I think we started the first half poor. Very poor. We conceded easy goals. I think that was lack of willingness lack of concentration energy motivation. In the second we showed what we wanted. We went out and we went for the kill " he added.
