Washington Aug 5 (IANS) Australian Alex de Minaur became the second finalist of the Washington Citi Open tournament defeating Russian Andrey Rublev sixteenth seeded 5-7 7-6 (6) and 6-4 in the semi-finals.
De Minaur who occupies the 72nd place in the ATP ranking will be measured in the final on Sunday by German Alexander Zverev first seeded who won in the first semi-final against Greek Stefanos Tsitsipas (10) 6-2 and 6-4 on Saturday reports Efe.
The Citi Open which takes place in Washington is an ATP circuit tournament and is endowed with $1.89 million in prize money.
