Dwamena happy over joining La Liga s Levante

Valencia (Spain) Aug 13 (IANS) Striker Raphael Dwamena on Monday said during his presentation as a new player of Levante that he is thrilled about his transfer with a four year contract to the La Liga side from Switzerland s FC Zurich.
Ghanaian centre-forward Dwamena said he chose to join the Frogs because playing in Levante would be a big step for him reports Efe.
"La Liga is one of the best leagues in the world. I am very happy to be here (in Levante) because it gives me the opportunity to play against good players and big clubs such as Real Madrid and Barcelona " Dwamena said
"I am full of joy one year ago... (I was told) I was not going to play soccer anymore and today I am here. I thank God and the club (Levante) " the 22-year-old said.
Dwamena revealed that before signing the contract he contacted his new teammate and compatriot Emmanuel Boateng who praised the Frogs.
Dwamena stressed "it is a challenge" to play at Levante where he hopes to do well adding that he is "adapting little by little" to the club but its staff have also treated him well.
