Portugal s Sporting CP signs striker Diaby to 5-year contract from Brugge
Lisbon Aug 21 (IANS) Portuguese club Sporting CP confirmed on Tuesday the signing of striker Abdoulay Diaby from Belgium s Club Brugge on a five-year deal with a 60 million euro ($69 million) buyout clause.
The French-born Mali international 27 had 36 goals and 20 assists in 108 matches with Brugge since joining the club in 2015 reports Efe news.
"The player signed a valid contract for the next five seasons with a termination clause set at 60 million euros " Sporting CP said in a statement.
Diaby the Portuguese club s eighth signing this summer played 10 games with the Malian national team netting four goals.
