Fluminense to face Nacional in Copa Sudamericana quarters
Rio de Janeiro Oct 5 (IANS) Brazil s Fluminense beat Deportivo Cuenca 2-0 and qualified for the quarterfinals of the 2018 Copa Sudamericana football championship where it will face Uruguay s National next.
Fluminense s first goal in Thursday s game came in the 33th minute thanks to Digao reports Efe.
With fifteen minutes to go in the game Richard pounced in a counter-attack shooting the 2nd goal to certify victory and qualification.
Cuenca who were forced to come back from a 0-2 defeat at their stadium did not come close to their opponents goal on the pitch of the legendary Maracana stadium.
