World’s largest Cricket stadium to be built in India

Cricket in India is a passion and most popular sport. In last decade India has ruled the roost in World Cricket.
Indian Cricket Board BCCI is the worlds richest cricket board which contributes maximum to International Board ICC. Now, India is buildind the world’s largest cricket stadium Sardar Patel Cricket Stadium in Motera, Ahmedabad. Sprawled over 63 acres of land, the Motera stadium will be able to seat almost 1.10 lakh people, superseding Melbourne Stadium which currently has a capacity of about 90,000. The stadium will constitute 76 corporate boxes. The stadium will not have any column constructions and hence the fans do not have to face any obstruction while viewing the match from any corner of the stadium.
The parking area will bear nearly 3,000 cars and 10,000 two-wheelers. The cost of building the stadium is approximately 700 crores. -Window To News
