Doha: Spanish tennis player Garbiñe Muguruza advanced to the second round of the Qatar Open after defeating Turkey's Cagla Buyukakcay 6-3, 6-2 in one hour and 15 minutes here on Wednesday.
In the next round, Muguruza, seeded fifth, will take on China's Zhang Shuai, ranked 31st in the world, who defeated the Hungarian Timea Babos 7-6, 6-3, reports Efe.
