Sameer Kapoor to head Stairs Foundation's Expert Committee

New Delhi, Aug 29 (IANS) Management professional and business strategist Sameer Kapoor has joined sports-oriented NGO Stairs Foundation, terming it "an exciting challenge in exciting times"."His experience and expertise will provide energy to our objective of making India a sporting world power," a Stairs statement said."All my life, I have tried to align people towards a common goal. This assignment is a challenging one, for it involves channelising the energies of millions of youth in India in a positive direction by way of sports. Sports and education are silent forces of revolution," the statement quoted Kapoor as saying. "India is on the cusp of change, and that change will come from the people. I'm happy to be part of STAIRS Foundation. I will alien my energy, create synergies, seek larger support of the corporate and other segments of the society towards the cherished goal," he added.The STAIRS Foundation (the Society For Transformation, Inclusion and Recognition through Sports) has been recognised as the national sports promotion organisation (NSPO) by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports for promoting sports at the grassroots level.
