DAV Chandigarh to face Karachi Univ. team in RBCC play-off

Dubai, Nov 1 (IANS) The DAV Chandigarh team, representing India, will face the University of Karachi team, representing Pakistan in the second play-off on Friday of the ongoing Red Campus Cricket 2019 World Finals at the ICC Academy in Dubai.There is an extra spice added to this game as it is a must win encounter for both teams as the losing team of the Play off 2 will be eliminated from the competition while the winner will face the losing team of Play off 1 to be played between the teams from South Africa and Sri Lanka.DAV Chandigarh earlier defeated Group A opponents ULA Bangladesh and MCC University Leeds Bradford from England. However, they faced defeat at the hands of University of Pretoria from South Africa by 62 runs.Table toppers South Africa and Sri Lanka from Group A and B respectively will also look to continue their momentum ahead of their Play off 1 match scheduled to be played on Friday.The winning team will directly qualify for the final set to be played on Saturday and the losing team will face off against the winner of the India-Pakistan match.
