Rishabh, Urvashi corner glory in SFA swimming

Mumbai, Dec 9 (IANS) Rishabh Pillai of Father Agnel School, Vashi, and Urvashi Bharia of DPS, Nerul, stole the limelight in the swimming events of Sports For All (SFA) here on Monday.Pillai stunned his opponents by finishing the boys' U-16 100m freestyle in 1:00.22 minutes to pocket the gold medal. Smt. Sulochanadevi Singhania School's Kalpit Singh finished second while Pranav Jayswal of St. Anthony's Convent School secured the bronze.Pillai's good run continued in the 100m backstroke event as he went on to win the gold for his efforts of 1:09.57 minutes. Kalpit Singh again finished second while Prayag Jaiswal of Don Bosco, Matunga, clinched the bronze.Urvashi Bharia underlined her supremacy in the girls' U-16 200m individual medley, finishing with an impressive time of 2:54.30 minutes to corner the top spot. Alexandra Girls School's Rabiya Darvesh finished second followed by Ayushi Ganatra of Lodha World School in the third position.In the U-16 100m freestyle event, Urvashi was pushed to the second place by Rabiya who clocked 1:08.37 minutes to win the gold. Tanya Shroff of Shardashram Vidyamandir won the bronze.
