Tottenham s Lamela out for the season with injury
London March 29 (IANS) English football club Tottenham Hotspur s midfielder Erik Lamela has been ruled out for the rest of the season owing to a hip injury.
Lamela 25 last played for Tottenham in October. He will undergo surgery on Saturday.
Tottenham said Lamela had achieved a good level of function but was not at a stage to make a return to training leading to the decision to operate according to a BBC report.
Lamela made 14 appearances this season for Spurs before the injury.
