Serbia lead Spain 2-0 in Davis Cup tie

Belgrade April 8 (IANS) World No. 2 Novak Djokovic helped Serbia take a 2-0 lead over Spain in the Davis Cup quarter-finals at Aleksandar Nikolic hall here.

Djokovic who missed Miami Open and was forced to an early exit in Indian Wells due to an elbow injury beat Albert Ramos Vinolas 6-3 6-4 6-2 in the first singles on Friday before Viktor Troicki outplayed Pablo Carenno Busta 6-3 6-4 6-3 reports Xinhua news agency.

In less than two hours Djokovic demonstrated that he is on a good way to return to top shape that marked his last season.

I am very satisfied with how I played especially with my serve because I haven t served this well lately. Albert Ramos is not so famous to our audience but he is 24th in the world and certainly has quality. If you give him the space and the necessary time he can definitely give you trouble Djokovic said.
