Inter Milan names Sabatini as technical director

Rome May 10 (IANS) The Chinese Suning Holdings Group owner of Italian club Inter Milan and China s Jiangsu Suning FC on Wednesday named Italian Walter Sabatini as their new technical director.

The appointment came a day after the dismissal of Inter Milano s Italian coach Stefano Pioli who was succeeded by compatriot Stefano Vecchi until the end of the season reports Efe.

Sabatini 62 former sporting director of Roma told a press conference that he would manage the transfers of both teams.

His job will not be easy because he takes charge of the two teams amid a crisis in results as Jiangsu is at the bottom of the Chinese Super League without any wins after eight games while Inter is seventh and has not won since March 12.
