Ostapenko beats Puig, through to third round of French Open
Paris May 31 (IANS) Latvia s Jelena Ostapenko on Wednesday defeated Puerto Rican Monica Puig to go through to the third round of the French Open tennis tournament.
Ostapenko defeated Puig 6-3 6-2 in a match which lasted around one hour reports Efe.
The Latvian is set to play against Ukraine s Lesia Tsurenko who scored a 6-2 6-2 win over Russian Ekaterina Makarova.
