India to play Canada in Davis Cup tennis tie

Edmonton June 20 (IANS) India will take on hosts Canada in the Davis Cup tennis tie to be held from September 15-17 here it was announced on Tuesday.
The Mahesh Bhupati-led India side having defeated Uzbekistan 4-1 earlier in Bengaluru will aim to be promoted in the World Group in 2018 if they defeat Canada.
The play-off tie between India and Canada will be held at the Northlands Coliseum Edmonton Alberta Canada from September 15 to 17. The winning team will be promoted to World Group in 2018 the All India Tennis Association (AITA) said in a statement on Tuesday.
