Defender Walker-Peters extends contract with Tottenham

London Aug 23 (IANS) Capital football club Tottenham Hotspur on Wednesday announced the extension of defender Kyle Walker-Peters contract till June 2020.

The 20-year-old English player made his English Premier League (EPL) debut with Tottenham in a 2-0 victory over Newcastle United on August 13 when he was named Man of the Match reports Efe.

"We are delighted to announce that Kyle Walker-Peters has signed a new contract with the club until 2020 " Tottenham said in a statement on its official website.

The defender has played for England s Under-18 U-19 and U-20 national teams.

"I am over the moon at the moment " Walker-Peters said after signing the extension.

He added that he was "delighted" with signing a new contract with Tottenham and continuing in the English squad.

Kyle joined Tottenham Academy full-time in 2013.
