The current world No.15 is the fourth seed this year and was supposed to play against Camila Giorgi of Italy in the first round. "Im pretty sad about the withdrawal today. I was really looking forward to play here in Shenzhen because I have really good memory of this tournament," Bacsinszky said. "But for my own health and its the beginning of the year, you have to be wise and think long terms and thats why I withdrew today," the Swiss player added.
