Aloo Gosht

Ingredients:
½ Kg - Mutton
4-5 – Potato, peeled and cut into pieces
2-3 - Onion–chopped
½ cup – Onion puree
1 tsp – Red chilli powder
¼ tsp - Turmeric powder
2 tsp - Coriander powder
2 tsp – Ginger Garlic paste
1 tsp - garam masala powder
Whole spices:
10-12 - Black pepper
4-5- Cloves
1-2 – Bay leaves
2 - Black cardamom
1 tsp – Shah jeera
2-3 - green chilies
Oil
Salt to taste
1-2 tsp – Lemon
Coriander leaves for garnishing
½ Kg - Mutton

1 tsp – Shah jeera

Coriander leaves for garnishing
Method:
In pressure cooker heat oil add chopped onion. Fry the onion in oil till brown. Remove the onion and grind.
Then add bay leaves, cloves, 1 black cardamom, and mutton , mix well. Cook till excess water of mutton dry up.
Meanwhile grind the whole spices except bay leave.
Now add onion paste turmeric powder, red chilli powder, coriander powder, ginger garlic paste and salt in the oil. Fry with little water till water dries.
Add ground fried onion, garam masala and whole spices powder.
Add required water, green chilli and cover the lid and let the mutton to cook.
When meat is 90% done then add potatoes. Fry the masala well till oil separation stage.
Cook the potatoes on simmer flame for 10-12 minutes or until potatoes completely cooked
Add lemon juice and adjust the gravy with water if needed.
Garnish with Coriander leaves.
Serve hot with naan or chapatti.
