Chana Dal Paratha

Ingredients:
2 cup - Chana dal
250 gm - Wheat flour
2-3 - Whole Dry Red chilli
1/4 tsp - Turmeric powder
1 inch - Ginger piece
1 tsp - Cumin seeds, roasted and crushed
7-8 - Black pepper
1 - Black cardamom
Salt to taste
Oil
Water
2 cup - Chana dal
250 gm - Wheat flour
2-3 - Whole Dry Red chilli
1/4 tsp - Turmeric powder
1 inch - Ginger piece
1 tsp - Cumin seeds, roasted and crushed
7-8 - Black pepper
1 - Black cardamom
Salt to taste
Oil
Water
Method :
In a pressure cooker add chana dal, whole dry red chilli, whole black pepper, ginger piece, turmeric powder and salt.
Add water and close the lid and cook upto 2-3 whistle or until dal cooked completely. Dry up the excess water.
Let it cool and blend the mixture in a food processor. Keep aside
In a bowl add wheat flour, salt and required water and mix. Knead the dough until smooth and soft. Keep aside for 15-20 minutes.
Then divide dough into balls.
Roll each ball and put the dal mixture in the middle of the roll ball and seal it properly.
Flatten it using your hands very gently.
Use dry flour while rolling the paratha and roll the parathas very gently.
Heat non-sticky tawa and place the rolled paratha on it.
In first 2 minutes cook it by flipping it from both side without oil on low medium flame.
Then add required oil and cook the paratha from both side. Cook it until golden and crisp.
Serve hot with curd or green chutney.
