Narmada Yatra Transformed Into Public Movement

Bhopal : “Namami Devi Narmade”- Seva Yatra begun from village Sarrakesri reached Nasirabad covering Aamkhedi and Bachhwada. Sarpanch Gaprasad Yadav and Collector Avinash Lavaniya received the Yatra flag.
Commissioner State Election Commission R. Parshuram, Former Chief Secretary Antony DeSa, Former Additional Chief Secretary P.K. Das, Chairman Madhya Pradesh Warehousing Corporation Rajendra Singh, MLA Vijaypal Singh, President Janpad Panchayat Brijmohan Meena and citizens in large number were walking with yatra raising slogans of Namami Devi Narmade.
Sadhvi Pragya Bharti said that Maa Narmada has blessed crores of people with life from its origin point till its end. It is our responsibility to make it clean and beautiful. Water flow of Narmada is formed from the drops of water oozing out from the roots of the umbrageous trees. It is responsibility of the citizens not to fell trees planted on the banks of the River Narmada. Undertake fruit and umbrageous plantation at one kilometer radius on both the banks of Maa Narmada, do not dispose off sewage in Narmada and construct toilet in each house. Also encourage organic farming and save and educate daughter.
Maa Narmada Is Daughter of Lord Shankar
Sadhvi Pragya Bharti said that Maa Narmada is a daughter of Lord Shankar. Hence, we should protect Maa Narmada, the way we raise our daughters. Spirit of “Yatra Naristu Pujyante Ramante Tatdevta’ prevails in our Hindu Culture. We all should respect Maa Narmada.
Programme was also addressed by the Chairman Warehousing Corporation Rajendra Singh. MLA Vijapal Singh administered pledge to the people to conserve Narmada River.
