Second Jal - Mahotsava concludes at Hanuvantiya

Bhopal :The second Jal-Mahotsava concluding at Hanumantiya is real celebrations of happiness. Development of Hanumantiya as per the expectations of the Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan is a unique endeavour. Efforts should be made so that more and more tourists visit Hanuwantiya in near future. Energy minister Paras Chandra Jain said this, addressing concluding function of the second Jal-Mahotsava in Hanuwantiya. Jain said that Hanuwantiya is so attractive that people need not to go any island or other foreign tourist place. Discussing master plan of Hanuwantiya, Jain said that private sector would be invited for participation in tourism development.
Presiding over the function, MP and BJP state president Nandkumar Singh Chouhan said that Hanuvantiya has become so famous that people have queried about it in New Delhi and other states also. He hopes that it would be soon on tourism map as a major tourist spot.
Chouhan said that the credit for this spring that has emerged in deserted Hanuvantiya goes to farmers. Farmers changed the landscape by giving land for the construction of Indira Sagar dam. The beautiful land is like sea on earth. The place would develop as Madhyadeep in the coming days. Mentioning Burhanpur, Chouhan said that Ahuhan and Kundi Bhandara like places are there and Bajirao Peshwa Ki Samadhi is near. They need more publicity. Chouhan said that foreign money would come through Hanuvantiya Jal Mahotsava and its contribution will be important in state's economy.
Chairman of State Tourism Development Corporation Tapan Bhaumik delivered welcome speech and said that 5.25 lakh tourists attended one-month-long Jal Mahotsava. He said that Chief Minister Chouhan's dream project Hanuvantiya has attracted all. This is the pride for the state. He greeted director Mukesh Chobey and film artist Shakti Kapoor for shooting of film Bheema Naik started on Sunday in Hanuwantiya.
State tourism secretary and MD of Tourism Corporation Hari Ranjan Rao said that final draft of master plan of Hanuwantiya and eight surrounding villages has been published. It would pave the way for tourism development as per the expectations of the Chief Minister. Participation of private investors would increase. Tourism Development Corporation would carry out infrastructure development. Entire area would be promoted as 'Madhyadeep- the Grand Reservoir'. -WTN
