Bhopal: CM Chouhan Reaches amid Hailstorm Affected Farmers at Bamore
Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that hailstorm and untimely rains have caused damage to the crops of the farmers, but the state government will not let their lives ruined. The state government is stood firmly with the farmers in this difficult time. Assessment of damage crops will be done promptly and relief will be provided to the farmers at the earliest. CM Chouhan was solacing the hailstorm affected farmers at Bamore of district Morena today.

• Farmers who have crop insurance cover will be provided 25 percent amount after the preliminary assessment and the full amount will be provided later on.
• Loss of the crops will be compensated by the state government of the farmers who have not taken insurance cover.
• An amount of Rs. 25 thousand as economic assistance for marriage of their daughters will be provided to the farmers who have suffered 50 percent crop loss.
• Recovery of loans from the affected farmers will be postponed.
• State government will made arrangements to ensure agricultural loans easily to the affected farmers next year.
• Food grains at the rate of Re. 1 per k.g will be provided to the farmers who have suffered cent percent crop loss.
CM Chouhan informed that the Collector has been directed to conduct prompt survey of crops with all sensitiveness and honesty. After the assessment of damage, the loss to the crop will be compensate in two ways. The farmers who have crop insurance cover will be provided 25 percent amount after the preliminary assessment and the full amount will be provided later on. The government will do the monitoring itself. Moreover, the loss of the crops will be compensated by the state government of the farmers who have not taken insurance cover. Chouhan further mentioned that an amount of Rs. 25 thousand as economic assistance for marriage of their daughters will be provided to the farmers who have suffered 50 percent crop loss. Also recovery of loans from the affected farmers will be postponed. The state government will made arrangements to ensure agricultural loans easily to the affected farmers next year. CM Chouhan said that food grains at the rate of Re. 1 per k.g will be provided to the farmers who have suffered cent percent crop loss. He told the farmers that the loss will be assessed properly and the state government will take care of the education of the children of the affected farmers.
Minister for Public Health and Family Welfare Rustam Singh assured to provide relief to the farmers at the earliest. He informed that immediately after getting information about the hailstorm and untimely rainfall, the Chief Minister expressed his concerns and directed the officials to conduct survey promptly and compassionately.
MP Anoop Mishra, Mayor Ashok Argal, Sabhapati Anil Goyal, Anoop Singh Bhadoriya and other public representatives were present on the occasion. Collector Vinod Sharma informed that the crops of around 63 villages are affected due to the hailstorm and untimely rains. Joint teams have been sent to the villages. The survey will be completed at the earliest.
