Ministers’ Duo Inspect Bull Mother Farm
Bhopal: Farmers-Welfare Minister Gauri Shankar Bisen and Animal Husbandry Minister Antar Singh Arya dedicated to the public a Calf rearing Centre at the Bull Mother Farm situated in Bhadbhada. The ministers’ duo also inspected the Bull Mother Farm State Dairy and Artificial Conception Training Institute here.Farmers-Welfare Minister Gauri Shankar Bisen gathered information about the Embryo Transplantation technique at the Bull Mother Farm. He said with the improvement in breeding, the number of milching cattle of high quality will also rise in both the state and in the country. This will not only raise quality and production but also impact the milk products. It was informed that the cattle that produced less quantity of milk can deliver high breed calves after Embryo transplantation of high and developed breed of cattle. With this technique 6-8 calves are delivered every year.
Animal Husbandry Minister Arya said India has a glorious history in “Gau-Dhan”. But in the recent times, cattle rearers are more inclined towards foreign breed cattle in comparison to Indian cattle. But with renewed efforts through this new technique, the number of Indian cattle is being raised.
The ministers duo offered hay and jaggery to the cattle at the Bull Mother Farm and State Dairy. State Animal Husbandry and Poultry Development Corporation Chairman Munshilal was also present on the occasion.-WTN
