Project scrutiny committee meeting held under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary
Bhopal: The meeting of project scrutiny committee of Technical Education and Skill Development Department was held under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary Basant Pratap Singh. Two schemes - Chief Minister Skill Enhancement Scheme and Kaushlya Yojana - announced by the Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan in Vidyarthi Panchayat for skill enhancement were approved in the meeting. Chief Secretary Singh said in the meeting that quality in training programme should be focused. Along with this, coordination with private companies should be established so that job can be availed to trainees after the training. Total 2.5 lakkh youths will be imparted training under Chief Minister Skill Enhancement Scheme for self employment.
Chief Minister Skill Enhancement Scheme
The demand of short-term trained human resource will be fulfilled under the Chief Minister Skill Enhancement Scheme which is not possible at present to be fulfilled by traditional ITI programme. Quality improvement and skill development is possible through short-term training programme in industrial training institutes. As per the national parameters, employment capacity can be increased by short-term skill training programmes. Admission will be given in each programme through online system and based on merit, set by determined educational qualification. Training period will be from 15 days to nine months. Its parameters will be as per the National Skill Qualification Framework. Arrangement for placement of trainees will be made so that minimum 70 percent participants can get salaried or self employment.
Considering the needs of skill development programme, Kaushlya Yojana will be run for women. Two lakh women will be imparted training under the scheme. Facility for residential training will be arranged for 25,000 women among them. Provision will be made in the scheme to run programmes women's interests. Training programmes will be launched in 20 different sectors.
Monitoring will be made by Madhya Pradesh skill development Mission to find that trainees are associated with profit making job or doing their own job with earning profit.
Kaushlya Yojana
To provide necessary skills to women for getting job or self-employment will be possible through the scheme. The women, who have left formal education or who want to get job or set up self-employment by developing their skills, will be able to participate in the training. The women, who are victim of child-marriage and violence, can get the training. Retail, security, telecom, tourism, banking, health care, food processing, electronic and hardware, domestic works, beauty and wellness etc. are included in the programme.
Additional Chief Secretary, panchayat and Rural Development Radheshyam Julania, Principal Secretary To Chief Minister, Ashok Varnwal, Principal Secretary, Tribal Welfare, Ashok Shah, Principal Secretary, Technical Education and Skill Development, Kalpana Shrivastava, Secretary, Finance, Aniruddh Mukherjee were present in the meeting.-WTN
